How long will it take before I get a job?

This will vary for each person depending on:

  • how much effort you are willing to put into job search
  • the type of work you are looking for
  • your skill levels and training needs
  • available vacancies

Your job coach will provide you with every available employment-related opportunity however the achievement of your employment goals depends on your active participation in the program.

Do people with mental health conditions get jobs?

Yes, Employees with disabilities are consistently found to be highly productive in the workplace - rated as average or above in performance and quality of work. Campbell Page is focused on educating employers on the benefits of employing people with disabilities. It is a matter of matching your skills and abilities with the right work environment.

Will I have to leave Campbell Page when I have a job?

No, once you have secured employment Campbell Page can continue to provide ongoing assistance to help you to keep your job. This support can be either on or off the job and may include:

  • developing strategies to help you increase productivity if necessary
  • liaising with your employer to address any issues of concern that may arise
  • helping you to address transport and lifestyle issues
  • identifying a future career path

Will I have to tell prospective employer's that I have a mental health condition?

It is your choice how you manage your personal information. Your job coach will work with you to develop a plan on how you would like your personal information managed.

What training can I access through Campbell Page?

Campbell Page is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) dedicated to delivering high quality and innovative training tailored to your needs.

We provide well equipped training facilities with a range of self-paced computer training resources and all services are delivered with a high degree of professionalism, experience, insight and passion.

Your job coach can assist you with on the job training to meet your job requirements where and when necessary. We can also make arrangements for you to attend other registered training programs where necessary.

What are the disability standards?

These are Rules that are put together by the Government that explain the best way for Campbell Page to meet the needs of people with a disability. The Government pays Campbell Page to assist people with a disability find and keep a job, so they expect us to provide the best possible service.

How does the government know that Campbell Page are meeting the disability standards?

An Audit Team visits Campbell Page every year and reviews how we do things. They inform the Government whether or not we are doing a good job. Campbell Page has a handbook that explains each of the 12 Disability Standards very clearly and describes how we make sure that we are meeting them.
