STEPERS has been funded to assist Campbell Page work with key groups in developing and delivering indigenous employment and related strategies. The expected outcome is to provide sustainable employment for Indigenous Australia and to deliver this - we focus our support on the employers.

STEPERS can provide flexible financial packages and tailored support to help employers provide ongoing quality job opportunities for Indigenous Australians. STEPERS is looking for partners to develop innovative start-up programmes to help stimulate and build effective Indigenous Employment Strategies.

There are 3 service streams within the STEPERS program which provides the best value to employers and employment opportunities to Indigenous Australians:

  • Pre-employment support services: this may include training to potential employee's and the development of recruitment strategies for potential employers.
  • Employment placement services: to assist employers place and retain indigenous employees.
  • Mentoring services: to help employers retain their indigenous employees.

This program has been expanded as a result of the ceasing of CDEP and
closure of Indigenous Employment Centres.
