Background to the Community Task Force

The Community Task Force (CTF) is the provision of work experience placements to enhance employability and deliver benefit within the local or wider community and is an integral part of the wider Young Person’s Guarantee (YPG).

The YPG is available to all 18-24 year olds approaching the 12 month stage of their claim to Jobseekers Allowance (JSA); The CTF provision is designed for those young people where a subsidised job or training are considered unsuitable or are unavailable in their area.

Invitation to submit Expressions of Interest

Campbell Page place significant importance on key elements of DWP’s procurement policy, specifically localisation and the establishment of strong local supply chains with a proven record of high quality delivery.

In line with this we are now inviting Expressions of Interest from organisations that are interested in working with us. Essentially we are looking for partners who can demonstrate:

  • An ability to deliver provision from the contract start date (July 2010) from existing premises and/or outreach locations in the relevant areas
  • An excellent track record for delivering high quality projects and placements that provide benefits for both the participant and the community
  • Experience of supporting young unemployed people (JSA claimants, 18-24 years old)
  • Strong links with local employers, community groups, networks and other stakeholders

If you are interested in being a partner in our bid(s), please download and complete the CTF2 Subcontractor Pro Forma and return by e-mail to Rod Tweedie Partnership Manager rod.tweedie@campbellpage.org.au

Expressions of interest must be received no later than 5pm on Wednesday 10th March 2010.

Campbell Page will be undertaking an assessment of all expressions of interest received on an ongoing basis and preparing an initial short list of suitable organisations based upon the stated criteria. Shortlisted organisations will be contacted by a Campbell Page Partnership Manager to discuss potential delivery locations, customer volumes and indicative per capita pricing proposals. Additional information may be requested to assist in the evaluation process

Campbell Page wins new Disability Contract

From 1 March, Campbell Page will be delivering new Disability Employment Services from a number of locations across Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia.

Disability Employment Services replace the Vocational Rehabilitation Service and Disability Employment Network, both of which Campbell Page is currently delivering.

The Federally funded program is for people with a disability, injury and/or health condition, with the goal being to assist people to prepare for, find and sustain open employment.

The announcement has been welcomed by Xavier Crimmins, Campbell Page CEO who noted that Campbell Page has a strong track record in assisting people with a disability to find and sustain employment.

Mr Crimmins stated, "We have always placed a strong focus on what people can do, not what they can't and this has proven to be very successful. We look forward to extending our approach and securing even more jobs for people with a disability".

The new service will place greater emphasis on skills development, education and training, particularly in areas of local skills shortages. Campbell Page Community Employment Hubs are well positioned to assist in this process.
